The barrels we used for this beer were whiskey and rhum (not spelling errors). The beer aged for one year in the casks before being blended together and with fresh beer. After the blending process we added Hungarian sour cherries (Meggy) to the mix and re-fermented for an additional month with lactose, cinnamon, and vanilla. The ruby red color will draw people to this beer, but the interesting twists and turns this beer delivers will have them coming back for more.
