The Dewar’s Double Double range was created in homage to the brand’s history of double ageing and features three whiskies aged for 21-, 27-, and 32-years.

Dewar’s master blender Stephanie Macleod, said: “Three things are important to Dewar’s, and these are age statement, double ageing and pursuit of smoothness.
We wanted to harness each of these in our new products.

“To do this we came up with a four-step ageing process. The first step sees the malt and grain whiskies each reach their age statements, we then blend the malts and put them back into specially selected casks and we do the same with the grain whiskies.
“We then blend the grains and the malts together and put them back into casks and back into the warehouse. Then we put the whiskies into three different types of Sherry cask.”
